What this tool answers

You need a first-pass ultrasonic tank size before buying. Enter approximate immersed part/batch volume in liters. The calculator names the smallest class on this site’s ladder — 2 L, 3 L, 6 L, or 10 L — after applying a 65% fill rule, or returns NO_MATCH. It is not a basket CAD check or a chemistry recommendation.

Why the 65% fill rule

Guides commonly advise keeping parts well below full tank volume so cavitation can work around surfaces. This site uses required tank ≈ part volume ÷ 0.65 (parts ≈ 65% of tank). Manufacturers may publish different service volumes — verify the live manual.

Classes use published VEVOR US tank capacities checked 2026-09-10: 2 L, 3 L, 6 L, and 10 L. Matching rule: smallest class where capacity ≥ required tank liters.

When the answer is NO_MATCH

If required tank exceeds 10 L, this site returns NO_MATCH. Split the batch, measure volume more carefully, or move to a larger industrial cleaner outside this screen. Do not force a 10 L unit past this ladder.

Basket fit and chemistry

Long thin parts may need a larger tank even when volume fits. Check basket length/width/depth on the listing. Use chemistry compatible with the materials; avoid stacking; follow temperature and time guidance; PPE for solvents and hot fluid.
